Spotlight!I would like to introduce you all to one of my favorite places in this huge world, The Peace Abbey. The Peace Abbey was introduced to me by my good friend Michael Randa, whose family owns and operates the project. They are a socially, culturally, and spiritually diverse and active operation. I have personally visited a handful of times and it truly is an experience. The equality and respect is an asset rarely found in other places, but heavily present at The Peace Abbey. The following is their misson statement…Our Mission “The Peace Abbey is dedicated to creating innovative models for society that empower individuals on the paths of nonviolence, peacemaking, and cruelty-free living. We offer a variety of programs and resources that teach, inspire and encourage one to speak out and act on issues of peace and social justice. Faith in action is the cornerstone of our fellowship and activist pacifism is our creed. The Peace Abbey serves as a model for religious organizations, communities, and individuals seeking non-violent, pacifist pathways to peace and social justice.”They are truly doing something unique and inspiring at The Peace Abbey. The location was even visited by Mother Teresa herself so you can be assured that this place is nothing short of an experience.PLEASE check The Peace Abbey and all of its projects and causes out at their website ( http://www.peaceabbey.org/index.html ) and visit them this summer! Who knows what a visit there may do for you! Check The Peace Abbey out!weareimagine
